I do love cables

So I'm making the Kelly dyed yarn into fingerless gloves. Dylan likes them coming a little past my wrists so that's how they'll be. Lots of cables in them. This is the second time in typing this entry as I did it perfect like 10 minutes ago and it just wouldn't save. SO WE TRY AGAIN
I'm using the left over yarn from my moms scarf to make leg warmers. No just keep looking at it going "you'd make warm leg warmers". for those days when I have to wear a skirt and KNOW that stockings just won't keep me warm that day. Should be fun.
I read over previous entries and saw about a job I was thinking of taking. I didn't take the job and now am waiting to hear how the interview I went to on Wednesday (where I posted saying I was bored as I waited) went and if they'll offer me the job. I'm excited because it feels right. Who knows. Fingers crossed
Below are the pictures of my current project. Knitting up faster than I thought. There's 2 that look alike but it's only because one how's the ACTUAL color correctly even though it's blurry.
ENJOY GUYS.

Boredom

Waiting for an interview person to finish their conference call. My thoughts? "Wish I hadn't left my yarn home...".
Picked a pattern for the gloves although I can't post it right now because I'm updating from my phone. Post it when I get home. Saved it on my ravelry library so should be easy to find

Socks or gloves...

I could still make this yarn into socks. But I feel it will not breathe right and will became a sweaty itchy mess so I think I'll keep going with he gloves idea. I like fingerless gloves. They keep my hands warm whilst allowing me to still knit when I want to. Dinner for boyfriends birthday tonight. His birthday tomorrow. Play practice tomorrow. I should get some knitting done at practice. Friday and saturday another 3 shows should get knitting done then too. I expect these gloves done before march is over. If I get this new job i will reward myself with a spinning kit sooner than hoped. Yay
All for now

Birthdays

March came so quickly that I had no idea my boyfriends birthday was this week. He told me last night and my response was "yea right" whereupon he went "it is" and I went "what? Omg it is!". Now to get a gift for him... Darn you nice weather making me think his birthday had passed. Taking some of my guys from work to the store as an outing to the book store because I always get him these books from this one book series for his birthday and various other gift giving holidays lol. Hopefully they have the book there. If not it would have just been a trip to get out of program for an hour
Decided in making leg warmers with the left over yarn from my moms scarf. Making my fingerless gloves from the yarn Dylan and me dyed and buying a spinning and dying kit on etsy to spin and dye my own yarn as a project. Maybe I'll count that as two projects because I assume spinning is tedious and I know dying is so... We'll see
Starting the christening blanket after the gloves. Hopefully the gloves take almost no time to make they did before so... Leave comments!

Baby bear blanket

For a chance today to take pictures. So proud of myself for getting a baby blanket done. Onto my gloves with yarn Dylan and me dyed. Yay! Fingerless gloves. Maybe a cable on them. So excited for a new project

ENJOY THE PICTURES GUYS

Done

So when I posted yesterday I looked at that tiny ball of yarn and was cursing at it going, "WHY WON'T YOU END!?" and then I'm sitting at work during movie day, knitting with my guys... and realized, this tiny ball was very deceiving... because I didn't have enough left to bind off.  SO! I sat there and carefully took out the last row and have no bound off the blanket AND ITS DONE!
Because I'm lazy, its Saturday and in my mid 20's, I haven't gotten out of bed yet and I finished it last night before going to bed.  I'm crazy excited its done, and so proud I'll be able to give it to my sister when she has her first little one.

I'm going to count the stitches my sister originally cast on, she kind of eyeballed it and went, "that looks wide enough..." and began knitting lol. I'm just gonna post it Bear's way

Baby Bear Blanket
Supplies:
36oz of yarn, devided into 6oz of three colors from light to dark
I was forced to do this part because I ran out of the original color.
I used all simply soft yarns
6oz bright yellow
6oz dark yellow
6oz gold
(those aren't the names, I just lost the sleeves...)

Cast on 150-200 stitches (it depends how wide you want it) of color A
1. Knit all stitches to the end of row.
2. Continue until all 6oz of color A is gone.  Must end at the end of a row
 - If you think you won't make it to the end, stop with Color A even if it leaves a large tail
3. Begin knitting with Color B.  If you have Color A still left, knit both together to make a more secure joining, and you don't have to sew the ends in... just cut off any edges that seem ugly looking
Repeat steps one and two
4. Begin knitting with Color C.  If you have Color B still left, knit both together to make a more secure joining
Knit until Color C has enough yarn to bind off.

DONE!  That seems so simple, but took me forever... I'm just slow I guess.
PICTURES TOMORROW!

Yarn yarn and more yarn

I made a huge breakthrough on this project im working on and have been focusing on researching that instead of knitting (tho it is knitting related...so I guess it counts lol). Blanket is so close to done that it is driving me nuts that it's NOT done lol. I look at that teeny ball of yarn and go "AH! You're so little yet so big! Darn you little yellow ball of yarn!" lol. My friend in my show asked me "where's your yellow blanket?" because she always sees me working on it. I just pointed to my giant "yarn bag" (I make every bag a yarn bag lol) and went "THERE and ALMOST done". I got so excited because I was almost done and then practice ended and my tired fingers just wanted to do nothing when I got home. I'm gonna try and knit during my friends show tomorrow (I'm backstage so it's not insulting to knit during the performance lol
PICTURES BY SUNDAY. Promise. AND I'm making arm warmers next. Single rib cuffs and maybe a cable OR! Maybe some ribbons or buttons. Who knows. I just know I'm using the yarn I dyed with Dylan.
He's been watching me knit so intently lately...THEN TONIGHT he goes "so you stick the needle in the loop and push the yarn through with the needle then move on to the next one..." and I wasn't sure if he was talking to himself do I just went "Uhm...yea..." and he goes "now I just need to learn the movements..." and stared at me knitting up a storm between songs at rehearsal lol. Love him. Time for sleep to dream of yarn and sweaters... And me not knitting socks. I seriously consider it a nightmare. BUT I WILL TRY THEM AGAIN! Night!
